# About Tide

> Tide is autonomous pool operations software made by Chisel Industries, Inc., a US software company that builds for the trades.

Chisel Industries builds Tide around one belief: the people who service pools should spend their time on pools, not paperwork. A workforce of AI agents runs the back office (scheduling and routing, billing and collections, customer communication, review and reputation, work orders, translation), with every action logged and judgment calls gated by human approval.

The software is free: no subscription, seats, setup fee, or contract. Total payment processing is just under 3% per transaction all in, card fees included, and Tide's share comes out of that fee rather than on top of it. Setup is self-service. Companies like Paradise Pools, Azul Pools, and The Pool Doctors already run on Tide. Tens of thousands of pool stops supported; millions of dollars in work orders automatically generated by Tide agents.
